This Privacy Policy describes how Metcalfe Digital (“we,” “us,” “our”) collects, uses, and protects information you provide when you interact with our services, including the private dock fuel tracking application (the “Service”) operated for SnyderXP.
Information we collect
When you use the Service, we collect:
- Phone number — provided when you verify your identity to log a fuel pump reading.
- Name — what you type during verification, displayed to other authorized users who view the fuel log.
- Device label — your browser’s user-agent string (rendered as a human-readable label like “iPhone · Safari”) and a randomly-generated opaque device token stored locally in your browser.
- Pump readings — the fuel totalizer values you enter and the timestamps of each entry.
We do not collect: email addresses, physical location, payment information, government identifiers, or any other personally identifying information beyond what’s listed above.
How we use your information
Your phone number is used to:
- Send a one-time 6-digit verification code via SMS when you first verify a new device.
- Send SMS notifications when other users log a fill (only if you’ve been designated as an administrator and have opted in to notifications).
- Attribute pump entries to the correct person in the fuel log visible to other authorized users.
We do not sell, rent, or share your phone number with third parties for marketing purposes.
SMS messages: types, frequency, and opt-out
You may receive the following message types from us:
- Verification codes — sent only when you initiate a verification, typically once per new device.
- Fuel-fill notifications — sent only to administrators who have opted in, typically 0–10 messages per week depending on tank activity.
Message frequency varies. Standard message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to opt out of further messages. Reply HELP for help. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Third-party processors
We use Twilio, Inc. as our SMS messaging provider. Phone numbers and message content pass through Twilio in accordance with Twilio’s privacy policy. We do not share phone numbers or message content with any other third party.
Data retention
- Phone numbers and account records: retained while the account is active. An administrator may deactivate any account at any time, after which messages stop being sent to that number.
- Verification codes: stored only as a salted hash and deleted or invalidated after 10 minutes.
- Pump-reading entries: retained indefinitely as part of the operational record.
Your rights
You may:
- Reply STOP to any message to immediately opt out of future SMS.
- Request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us at the email below.
- Ask what data we hold on you and request a copy at any time.
Children
The Service is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected in the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of the Service after a change constitutes acceptance.
